When George finished high school he moved from Liverpool to London with his band to seek rock stardom...and to pursue his religious and philosophical studies at a local college, gaining a master in the subject before turning back around to get a bachelor in botany, another interest he held. Struggling with school and trying to gain success was all that plagued him before he was unknowingly infected with the virus that was sweeping the globe. His upper canines grew literally overnight, something no one could explain, and he found himself with a crippling hunger that no sustenance could cure; not until he passed by a butchery parlor one morning on his way to the market, the scent of blood heavy in his senses, and it was then he realised what he was becoming.
Spending most of his time in his lonely flat after his friends and family perished from the virus, George only ventured out to seek blood, which became more difficult to do once the epidemic wiped out most of the population of the city, soon forcing him to resort to stray animals. On a chance encounter he stumbled upon the underground beneath the city, discovering other affected people like himself, and decided to relocate to the secret underground.
